3D-Printed TinkerBlock Sensor Base: Printing Guide

Download 3x4 Base

This TinkerBlock Sensor Base is optimized for 3D printing and designed to perfectly fit the Lonely Binary TinkerBlock brick. Using a Bambu Lab P1S with standard PLA settings (0.2mm layer height, default speed, and temperature), this base delivers a snug, precise fit for seamless integration with LEGO Technic components.

Printing Flexibility: While the provided STL files are tuned for the Bambu Lab P1S, you can use any 3D printer (FDM recommended) with PLA or PETG filament. Note that print results may vary due to differences in printer calibration, filament type, or settings.

Fit Adjustments:

  • Too Tight or Loose? If the base doesn't fit your TinkerBlock 3x4 brick perfectly, you can:

    • Modify the STL files in a 3D modeling tool (e.g., OpenSCAD or Fusion 360) to adjust tolerances.

    • Use a hot air gun to gently reshape the printed part for a custom fit.

  • Pro Tip: Test print a single base and check compatibility before batch printing.

Download the STL files from ThingsUniverse and start printing today. Happy tinkering!
